GAQ is the grade most of the world’s date trade actually runs on: whole pitted fruit with a small, honest tolerance for surface blemish and the occasional broken piece. You get 95%+ of the eating quality of Select at a distinctly better price point.

We recommend GAQ to food-service distributors, mid-market retail repackers and bakeries where the date is chopped or hidden in the crumb anyway. Same orchards, same washing and metal detection, same paperwork — just a more commercial tolerance.
